Missheard lyrics |
|
I was a young dude and often wondered "what is a Ickburg"?
I tought Bob sang "I need a Ickburg" in "I shall be free".
As I got older I realized it was "Anita Ekberg". Hah

she bakes just like a little girl |

My brother saw this on a site dedicated to misheard lyrics of all songs.
However, Dylan actually sang "bakes like a little girl" In Bangladesh.
Makes me want a cookie.....

Bob Lyrics |
|
That's ok Joker, I am from California and thought Bob was going to Heaven on a slippery shelf first few times I heard Shake Sugaree. lol Sometimes even Bob forgets the words and maybe we do hear what we think we heard. lol
Arlo Guthrie said Bob had so many teleprompters on stage he could sing any one of 600 songs and not know the words to any of them.

I dont believe you(She Acts Like We never have met) |
|
Its a funny thing about this song when I 1st got heavily dedicated to learning all of Bob's music. When I heard the live version of this song I couldnt understand the line that goes It's all new to me
Like some mystery
It could even be like a myth( He sings it so quicly in the song I was like wtf???? But after finding DylanChords.com I finally realized what he was singing:-) Just figured I'd share that.

I always liked the image of bob and his lady splitting up on the 'docks at night' in tangled up in blue... Even though I now know its a 'dark sad night' I've never stopped singing about them docks!

The problems of poor hearing |
|
Only recently found dylanradio.com and joined the site. Reading missheard lyrics reminded me of one of my own mis-hearing. In 'Tangled Up In Blue', until Lyrics was published, I always thought 'they split up on a dark sad night, by greyhound, it was best' and had a wonderland vision in my mind of them getting on separate buses and heading as far away from each other as they could. 'Both agreeing' seems far too civilised by comparison.
