...not that eager to make a mistake (Post Song Info Errors) |
|
But sometimes mistakes happen. So this could be a topic to post mistakes in the listed songs.
My entry is:
License To Kill from the 30th Anniversary album (official)
The list gives Neil Young as the performer but it was performed by Tom Petty
(So either the given artist or the given song is wrong)

Good idea, there's lots of those.

Good catch, and fixed now. I often assume the id3 tags are correct, but when we assume...

Foot Of Pride -- Lou Reed
Masters Of War -- Eddie Vedder & Mike McCready
The Times They Are A-Changin' -- Tracy Chapman
It Ain't Me Babe -- Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash
What Was It You Wanted -- Willie Nelson
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight -- Kris Kristofferson
Highway 61 Revisited -- Johnny Winter
Seven Days -- Ron Wood
Just Like A Woman -- Richie Havens
When The Ship Comes In -- Clancy Bros. with Tommy Makem
You Ain't Goin' Nowhere -- Mary Chapin Carpenter/Rosanne Cash/Shawn Colvin
Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues -- Neil Young
All Along The Watchtower -- Neil Young
I Shall Be Released -- Chrissie Hynde
Don't Think Twice, It's All Right -- Eric Clapton
Emotionally Yours -- O'Jays
When I Paint My Masterpiece -- The Band
Absolutely Sweet Marie -- George Harrison
License To Kill -- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 -- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Mr. Tambourine Man -- Roger McGuinn
It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) -- Bob Dylan
My Back Pages -- Bob Dylan & Guests
Knockin' On Heaven's Door -- Bob Dylan & Guests
Girl Of The North Country -- Bob Dylan

Ah, I see what happened - database error caused by a poorly constructed update query. I trashed it and reloaded it from my mp3s. It'll appear as recently added, but oh well.

Mistakenly posted this on the "bugs" thread:
Minor observation: When I click on any version of Mr Tambourine Man" (without the "." after Mr), the lyrics are those of AATW. The versions written "Mr." have the correct lyric.

another lyric error |
|
So while I'm pointing out mistakes, I notice that the lyrics for "Tears of Rage" are definitely not the lyrics for "Tears of Rage"
I'd either be happy to keep posting these kinds of things if they're helpful; or, if this is more annoying than helpful, I can just stay quiet and quit bugging you. Your call, Walrus.

A few days ago it said "Girl From The North Country" by The Waterboys but it was another song (not a Dylan song as far as I remember). Talking about the London version.
I only shouted when I noticed it. So the info disappeared before you had the chance to notice, I guess. Just the way it goes....

It's about If You Say Her Say Hello from Genuine Bootleg Series Volume 3
I just heard a few seconds of the song but I don't think it was what it's said to be. Would you please check that...
In the song infos are infos about the Bootleg but no lyrics so I wonder what infos you definitely want to see in the song infos (and in what order).
Thanx in advance for checking!
