Post special section for dylan covers Reply with quote
Since i am getting more annoyed about the growing number of bad dylan covers on the station, with family and friends requests of their no doubt sincere efforts of trying to sound like Bob with a twist wishalikes, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a seperate section for them they can go to, instead of it being broadcast over the radio. I remember a station called bobdylancovers or something. I know that the contest got lots of publicity for the station, but too much democracy can lower standards, or maybe mine are too high. If i hear one more bad 'masters of war' i will go over the edge. Such a gap of quality can't be supported.

I don't agree with you - for me most of the covers are nice and I don't have the impression that there are more than the Master's originals.
For me is more annoying the big number of bad live pieces of Bob himself!
No more bad "Masters Of War" from 1985 or 2002 Wink!

who to judge the quality of a dylan performance? nobody.but covers crosses the line. that's MY line, of course.could see 'coverhour' as an idea, like you have 'theme time hour' at 4 gmt, so i know i won't have to listen
