The influence that the blues, and it’s legends like Howlin’ Wolf and Blind Willie, have had on Dylan’s music & lyrics can’t be overestimated.  Regardless of the assorted styles he’s explored over the years, the blues have always been a constant theme throughout his albums.  You’ll also discover that Theme Time Radio Hour tends to be very blues-heavy, and rightly so!  As with Bob himself, the blues’ impact on American music reverberates to this very day.  Well, it just so happens that I have a fairly large library of a wide range of blues men & women, so I’m happy to introduce the DylanRadio Blues Break.  Every now and then you’ll hear three songs by a variety of blues legends, classic & contemporary.  Just as Bob tries to honor his heroes on Theme Time, I thought it’d be cool if we joined in the fun.  It’ll only be occasional, though, so don’t worry about suffering Bob-withdrawal 😉
