Disc_Templates

Our good friends over at Paradiddle Records have released the second volume of their “Bob Dylan Uncovered” series, featuring tributes by some fantastic indie artists.   In addition to great music, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Bob Dylan Uncovered Vol. 2 will go to support www.rockCANroll.org, an organization that collects healthy, non-perishable food for distribution to local agencies to help those who live with hunger.  Pick up your own copy today, and you can also request the tracks now available in the songpool.

Birthday Radio Specials

Bob Dylan Birthday Cake

May 24th is just around the corner, and we’ve got a bursting lineup of our favorite radio programs queued up to help celebrate.  Moreover, it’s a double-celebration because it’s also DylanRadio’s 10th birthday, and all these years we’ve had only one mission: show the world the amazing contributions this consummate entertainer has made to both music and history!  Bob’s birthday is usually our highest traffic day, with new listeners just checking things out, and longtime fans enjoying the renewed celebration of Bob’s music.  So, we want to stay on-mission and give listeners some great examples of why we celebrate this man the way we do.  So here’s the current schedule for Tuesday’s special radio programs, kicking off with an intro-show for Dylan-newbies, and ending with a final, thoughtful interview:

  • 9am: What’s So Great About Bob Dylan? (BBC)
    (8am Eastern, 7am Central, 5am Pacific, 1pm London, 12am Sydney)
  • 1pm: Up Close with Bob Dylan (CBC)
    (12pm Eastern, 11am Central, 9am Pacific, 5pm London, 4am Sydney)
  • 4pm: The Folk Show Birthday Special (WUNH)
    (3pm Eastern, 2pm Central, 12pm Pacific, 8pm London, 7am Sydney)
  • 6pm: Freewheelin’ Folk Tribute to Bob Dylan (BBC)
    (5pm Eastern, 4pm Central, 2pm Pacific, 10pm London, 9am Sydney)
  • Midnight: Folksinger’s Choice (Cynthia Gooding)
    (11pm Eastern, 10pm Central, 8pm Pacific, 4am London, 3pm Sydney)
  • 2am: Rolling Stone 40th Anniversary Interview (Jann Wenner)
