Here's some Theme Time info (if unsettling) from Wikipedia:
Abrupt End to Season 2?
In March 2008, Lee Abrams, XM Radio Chief Creative Officer and the person who brought Dylan to the station, announced that he was moving to a new job at the Tribune Company beginning April 1, 2008. Also that month, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it had approved the buyout of XM Radio by Sirius Satellite Radio, removing one major roadblock to the proposed merger (a decision by the FCC is still pending as of this writing).
While apparently unrelated to those announcements, Bob Dylan closed the "Cold" show on April 2, 2008 with the news that it was the last show of Season 2, noting that "...This is our final show of the season. We’re gonna go away for a little while, but not for too long. Just long enough to look for some more themes and records to go along with them. In the meantime, you try to stay warm. Be careful, 'cause I’ll be counting heads when we come back for Season 3. You better be there! See you soon." The New York Daily News would report the following week that the third season of TTRH would begin in September, 2008, although the accuracy of this claim is in question.
There has been some fan speculation in online forums that Season 2 came to an unplanned close possibly caused by Abrams departure, the Sirius merger, or some other, unknown reason. Supporters of this theory point to the facts that Season 1 had aired 50 original shows broadcast over a year; that unlike Season 1 there was no pre-announcement of the final show of Season 2; that announced Season 2 shows never aired; and that Dylan's announcement appeared to be a last-minute addition, as no closing credits were read.
Evidence against the theory include the facts that Season 2 of TTRH had exactly half - 25 - of the original shows broadcast in Season 1, and that the season ended almost six months to the day after beginning. Supporters of this theory offer the conclusion that The Theme Time Radio Hour team simply negotiated a new contract requiring less original material and fewer broadcasts than Season 1.

Well thanks to Theme Time, I now know what the Mojo means re Mojo Magazine--"luck." Btw, Mojo Mag. published the great coffee-table book I have called "DYLAN visions, portraits and back pages"

Does anyone think Dylan wrote the theme for TTRH? Wouldn't be surprised!

I don't know if I would worry about that too much Edie. He was just quoting something that is true. Kind of like "Beer and chocolate chip cookies".
Oh wait, I still drink beer and eaqt chocolate chip cookies!! But have been smoke free for almost seven years now!

Thanks, Jim, but he had mentioned that someone smoked the same brand he did! And lox and bagels are so much healthier and tastier than cigs and coffee--don't forget a dab of cream cheese! Good for you that you quit those poison sticks! I stopped doing a couple a day after meals around 30 yrs ago. I'm sure they did wonders for the asthma I didn't know I had. Ok, lest I turn the Theme Time topic into something less uplifting, I'll can it and just say keep up the good work!

You'll be happy to know, edie, that I'm in the process of adding season 2 of Theme Time to the playlist (now that Season 2 is over). Look forward to it!

Another Limerick on Antsid's Request:
"Bob Dylan's Themetime Radio Hour"
("Dreams, Schemes and Themes")
XM's crown jewel is "Themetime...";
The song maven doth teach and beam rhyme.
For music historical
And factoids galorical,
I tune in to free up my dream chime!

Here's something from "Right Here in Rochester":
"Taking Care of Picture Business"
George Eastman House rescues film art--
Keeps archives from falling apart!
Its Dryden boasts screening
Of films with most meaning--
Awards the best thug, hero, tart!

From "A Medicinal Flavor" (Antsid's Request):
[i]
“Ah Chew”
My son has attacks of the sneezes!
At least they don’t come with the wheezes:
They're related to eating--
His chest takes a beating!
Then Rob goes and does what he pleases.

Happy Father's Day Walrus and thank you for the "Fathers" theme today:
Happy Father's Day to Walrus;
The Father of Dylanites calls us.
He keeps us well tangled--
Without him, we're mangled;
Our ship did come in--n'er torture us!

"An Ode To Those Fretful Moments When The Webcast Is Offline"
Edie's poetical wit
Is making me nervous a bit.
She's far too obsessed,
It's making me stressed,
I fear that she'll order a hit!
